You would be better served changing jobs, if you didn't like your own.
Perhaps you could become a wine/cheese/chocolate shop apprentice. You won't make much, but you'll love putting in the long hours :)
Isn't it a flawed assumption that harder work leads to more income? Most jobs, other than the lowest, are salaried with no pay for overtime.
